A Dead Shark Is Not Art

Thursday, August 10th 2006

King Richard the Second and I have readied
a most exquisite gallery on Stucky Road,
where Richard will crucify himself daily
for his abdication of an impossible throne.

You and I shall witness this crass performance;
it is not impossible. Remember that the figure
of Richard commands twelve thousand Judases,
each side by side, embalmed in the act of murder.

Envision The Physical Impossibility of Death
In the Mind of Someone Living
, and say
as Richard would say, measuring his breath:
“A king, woe’s slave, shall kingly woe obey,”
and you’ll be unable to tell the difference
between impossibly dead kingship and the king.
